Projects
At present Teachers Beyond Borders is running projects in the United Kingdom and Ghana. We work in partnership with schools and teachers to promote equitability and sharing good practice to develop effective teaching and learning in both countries.
Ghana
If you are a school or a teaching professional in Ghana, please do contact us for information on courses, school partnerships and anything else that you would like to discuss.Teachers Beyond Borders is presently working with six schools in Ghana.
*Kokrobite Primary and Junior Secondary School, a small coastal school 15 miles west of Accra.
*La Presbyterian Senior Secondary School, Accra, a large urban school inside Accra.
*St Pauls Junior Secondary School, a large urban school sharing a campus with La Presby.
* New Horizon Special School, an all age school for children with a range of learning needs, in Accra
*Castle Road Special School (CAROSS), an all age special school inside the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, Accra
* Cosmic Academy, a small rural primary school in Kasoa, 17 miles west of Accra
*a group of rural schools in Akosombo, near the Volta Lake, 50 miles north east of Accra. This is a new partnership.
Presentation of certificates
60 teachers participated in a Literacy Training programme, endorsed by the Ghana Education Service. In the Closing Ceremony, all four schools came together for a performance by the students of La Presbyterian Senior Secondary School, Accra.

* Developing Global Citizenship in the curriculum for children with special learning needs or for inclusive classes
* Celebrating your Global School Partnership with a visit from our partner group called One Drum. Projects on offer are: CELEBRATE AFRICA with drumming, dance and story telling; MUSICAL JOURNEY, songs from the diaspora; HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY, a project about student voice and peer advocacy. Please contact One Drum to discuss what you would like.
* Orientation workshops for teachers travelling to Ghana to visit their partner school in Africa.
* Teachers interested in volunteer opportunities in Ghana
* Teachers and schools interested in our Kindergarten and Special school Toolkits, especially for teachers or students working or volunteering in Ghana.
